Renee Yarrington, RN, MLP is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience across the continuum of care, including prenatal, NICU, postpartum, acute care, hospice, and complex medical and disability care. She currently works as a Nurse Case Manager supporting medically complex children and NICU graduates, coordinating care, navigating systems, and advocating for access to appropriate services and resources.
Renee has served in both clinical and administrative leadership roles, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and staff education.
She holds a Master of Law and Policy (MLP) with a concentration in Healthcare and Exceptional Education Law from Nova Southeastern University (NSU), providing a unique interdisciplinary perspective that bridges clinical practice and policy development.
Renee’s advocacy is both professional and deeply personal. She is a parent of two children with disabilities—one who is deaf/hard of hearing with immunodeficiency and one with dyslexia and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She also lives with immunodeficiency herself. These lived experiences inform her commitment to disability advocacy, equitable access to care and education, and strengthening systems that support individuals and families navigating complex medical and educational needs. She had been actively engaged in advocacy work with MomsRising and in community and state-level initiatives focused on improving outcomes for individuals with disabilities and their families. Renee brings both professional expertise and lived advocacy experience to her role on GACEC.
